I ecspecially enjoy the calming down affect near the end, right where it picks back up to a faster beat.

"For something unfinished, this is perfect"
For something unfinished, this is perfect, but you know what, this is just TOO sad.... for me, I don't really see any hope in this, but thats just me.
It sounds like my life, lol. This song does, however prove that you are skillful in what you do with music. The song moves me.
Author's Response:
To tell you the truth, I find it to be mostly a sad song as well...
I wrote this one by improvisation, which means I just started playing one day, thought it was worth sharing, and punched it into the computer (I don't have an electric piano). Because this is my usual process, my music almost always reflects my emotions better than I can explain them. This is an example of that - I was going through some tough times, just coming to terms with things. I think it really shows through.
But here's the catch: if you listen closely, there is a spark of hope in amongst everything else here. You can find it in just a single note in the bassline that occurs just once. There's a sense of a resolution on the horizon in that note. I think that life is like that. It's a matter of finding that one note, that one thing we can always hold on to.
Sorry if I went on a bit there. I'm glad you enjoy the piece, and thanks for the review.

Encore! Encore! I love this song.
But yeah, I'm not sure what kind of European village this would be a theme of.
It does have a "Local" theme to it though. My only complaint of this is it is too good to CRITICIZE! Dumb it down for me please! ;)

Something about this just doesn't seem right. The choir goes well with it though.Maybe if the music was somehow sharper with the choir it would work out.

"You get a 10. But Eternal Orchestra this is not."
This is one of my favorite songs on Newgrounds. I want it in an album along with my favorite, the now deceased Eternal Orchestra. This song is very soothing, and techno. It has an energy to it that allows for either relaxation or for dancing.
I have heard this song in my inner mind for years prior to visiting the internet. It is astounding that you have managed to make this song your own after I have heard it in the wind for so many winter seasons.
This song is exciting and peaceful at the same time. I can think of no better comination in a song. My only complaint is that the Eternal Orchestra is no longer with us. :) Of course, that doesn't mean that this song is any less good because of that.

The music of my dreams. Piano works well with this song. This was well arranged and it has a fun, strong beat.

This song is somewhat confusing to listen to. But it seems to tell a story. I hear a story of a noble, but wicked tyrant who believes in honor above all else. When he receives some kind of revelation about the holiness of life, he finally transforms into the light.

ChronoTrigger defined. This is exactly how I remember it. In case I forget how it orginally felt to be in the Omen while I play CT again, I'll just revisit this website and listen to this song.

"Asian Theme/Water/Crystal Sounding"
For a video game, I imagine this being a wizard's town, an underwater area, or an Oriental village. thats my opinion. This song gives off an "Oriental"feel to it. I think that the mystical feel to it gives a wide variety of options for using it. No wonder it made it to the top five selections.
Author's Response:
Im glad you see that you saw the whole general idea! The mysterous feeling of this song makes it compitebel with almost any game!
Thanks for the comment!

"Starts very well... Drags on"
It could have been a little better at the end. It is pretty exciting and adrenaline pumping to listen to though. It sounds a like a war between good and evil.
The most exciting thing about this piece is that to me there is no clear winner. I'm a fan of Gothic music, so it gets .5 higher score. I think It should probably be around 8-9 points.
